Serafin Pere & Fils, Morey Saint Denis 1er Cru Les Millandes 2016 750ML LaVieEnRose bright and distinctly earthy noseThe 2016 Morey Saint Denis Les Millandes 1er Cru has an earthy mulchy bouquet with more red fruit than Ligniers Chaffots, moderate definition although it needs a little more vigour. The palate is medium bodied with grainy tannin, quite saline in the mouth but it feels clipped and lacks the persistence of its peers. Hopefully it will broaden out and gain more flesh with bottle age. Tasted blind at the 2016 Burgfest tasting.
